Nocturne Returns to Transform Frisco’s Nightscape
Following its celebrated debut, Play Frisco’s award-winning event Nocturne returns on May 8–9, 2026 for two unforgettable evenings of immersive art discovery, where light and sound reimagine the night. This unique after-dark experience will transform Frisco Commons Park’s familiar trails into dreamlike encounters with art, nature, and the unseen.
For the first time in its history, the park will turn into a mile-long outdoor gallery, with light, video, and sound installations emerging along its winding trails. Conceived as an after-dark art trail through nature, the experience is created by leading regional artists. Each piece invites reflection, play, and a heightened awareness of the world after dusk.
Art After Dark, in a Different Light
Produced by the team behind AURORA, Nocturne is designed to honor the park’s expansive natural landscape—spanning over 60 acres—while unveiling it anew. The experience draws inspiration from the subtle rhythms of night: shifting leaves, nocturnal creatures, and the mysterious stillness between sounds.
Part community gathering, part contemplative art walk, Nocturne explores the intersection of contemporary art and the natural world after dark, reflecting Play Frisco’s commitment to cultural innovation, accessibility, and civic pride. Guests of all ages are invited to explore, imagine, and connect beneath the stars.
