Navneeta Khemka will be the guest demo artist for TAG’s first meeting of 2018-19 on Monday, Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m.. She will teach us about Tanjore art. Tanjore Painting is one of the most popular forms of classical South Indian painting. It is the native art form of Thanjavur (also known as Tanjore) city of Tamil Nadu. Tanjore Painting of India originated during the 16th century under the reign of the Cholas. Tanjore Painting features embossing with gold foil used to highlight the embossed areas.
TAG IN THE MORNING. Wednesday, September 12, kicks off the “TAG in the Morning” demos and lessons. Lee McGlothlin will be doing a lesson on Composition. Regardless of the style or medium you use, composition Is definitely an important aspect of your painting.
