Now showing at ArtSpace at Metropolitan Press, Cas Milner: Words, Energy, and Fields. Come see the energetic, action-packed works by Dallas artist Cas Milner. Meet the artist at this week’s reception on Thursday, January 10 from 6pm to 9pm. His work will be on display through January 25, 2019.
Cas Milner
is a physicist who paints, working with the interplay of paint density,
flow, and color, primarily making energetic action paintings inviting
an emotional and intellectual resonance with paint, void, and chance. He
also makes word paintings which deconstruct conventional meaning. His
PhD work was at The University of Texas at Austin in experimental
particle physics, and he was an Adjunct Professor of Physics at SMU for
many years. Cas attended high school in Dallas, and returned to the city
from working at Los Alamos National Laboratory, to work at the
Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory.
