2019 DADA Spring Gallery Walk – Saturday, March 30, noon to 8pm

SILENT ART AUCTION raises money for the Edith Baker Art Scholarship Fund — Visit and bid at Mary Tomas Gallery and Beaudry Gallery both on Dragon Street. NEW EXHIBITIONS in the Design District at American Fine Art, Carneal Simmons Contemporary Art, Christopher Martin Gallery, Craighead Green Gallery, Samuel Lynne Galleries and Laura Rathe Fine Art will host a reception from 5-8 pm and artist talk at 6:45 for Art For the Ages, featuring Robert Mars and Paul Rousso. Uptown new member Blue Print and Afterimage Gallery. Downtown TVAA Downtown Gallery 2-4pm. Park Cities – Talley Dunn Gallery 10am-5pm. Irving – Irving Arts Center Galleries & Sculpture Garden and University of Dallas – Beatrice M. Haggerty Gallery. Exhibitions in North Dallas and Richardson – The Gallery at North Haven Gardens 9am-6pm, Southwest Gallery, Valley House Gallery 10am-5pm and the UT Dallas SPiN Gallery Synergy Park North.  

NEW DADA MEMBERS Blue Print Gallery in Uptown offering a variety of contemporary art; and  Mesquite joins DADA – visit the Mesquite Arts Center open from 1-5pm.

CULTURAL COLLABORATION – The 2nd Annual ART214 Juried Exhibition – A collaboration of five OCA cultural centers during Dallas Arts Month. Juried by Susan Lecky, Nychelle Grant, Lucas Martell, and Arthur Pena. Curated by Du Chau. Cultural Centers are participating – visit the BATH HOUSE CULTURAL CENTER, Open during gallery walk from 12 to 8 pm. At the LATINO CULTURAL CENTER is Retro-Mático: The Art of Jose Vargas. A retrospective exhibition of mixed media art by local artist and curator, Jose Vargas 10 to 5 pm. AT MOODY PERFORMANCE HALL also 2nd Annual ART214 Juried Exhibition – 12 to 5 pm. The OAK CLIFF CULTURAL CENTER presents Written and Witnessed – 12 to 5 PM.

Join DADA for the  2019 Scholarship Awards & Exhibition –  May 9 from 6-8pm One Arts Plaza – Exhibition May 5 – 24 Awards will be announced at the Reception. The goal is to give young artists the opportunity for recognition, exhibition and scholarships. This juried exhibition features young artists from among Booker T. Washington High School’s best visual art students. 2019

The scholarship fund benefits young artists pursuing the study of visual arts in higher education and provides funds for tuition and supplies. In addition, the Award includes participation in a professional art exhibition, awards reception and the opportunity for a DADA internship. 

DADA, created the EBAS Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) honoring Edith Baker, a respected member of the Dallas arts community and one of its founding members.
