The Art of Suminagashi
Great new class

Join this repeat of a popular class. Produce beautiful marbled Suminagashi papers using the ancient Japanese technique of inks floating on water. These beautiful papers can be used in book binding, greeting cards, collage and artwork.
Supplies included in the class – Instructor will provide inks, paper, brushes and water containers.

Advanced Leather Sketchbooks

arn NEW types of bindings – twisted, beaded and stitched. Explore NEW ways to prepare papers and create an interesting closure. We will cut or tear the paper in class. The class is planned around an 8×8″ book with 96-110 pages. You are welcome to ame a different size of book – 8×11″ ledger or 5×7 pocket size. Contact Suzanne (817-266-3085) before the class so the cover will be the correct size.
 Supplies to bring:  Please bring your own paper for the pages …  
You will need 4 sheets of 140# paper – Fabriano or Fluid work best, CP or HP (please don’t bring Arches) – OR paper is available in the studio – Four 22 x 30″ sheets for $16.
Additional helpful Supplies: If possible, bring  an awl, a bone folder, and pliers.
