The Peach Festival Competition is an Annual Event in the City of Weatherford.  The Show is held at the Doss Museum, 1400 Texas Drive, Weatherford.  Categories include both 2D and 3D art along with Student Competition ages Kindergarten through 12th grade.  Cash prizes will be awarded. 

Registration at the Doss Museum  Doss Heritage & Cultural Center,  1400 Texas Drive,  Weatherford, TX                            

Thursday, June 4th 4 pm – 7 pm              

Saturday, June 6th 10 am – 1 pm

Pick up Artwork  July 28th

Limit: TWO entries per artist

Entry Fees: $20 per art piece,Students $5 per art piece. 

Cash Awards in all Categories for Adults & Students

People’s Choice Award All who view the exhibition will be given the opportunity to vote on their favorite piece of art through the last day of the show, July 13th. Votes will be counted, and winners will be notified.

Judge:  Patrick Saunders, National Artist seen in Southwest Art, Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America, Laguna Plein Air Painters, the Portrait Society of America.  Patricksaunders.com 

Guidelines:  All works must be original and created in the last 3 years.  Artwork previously entered in WAA Peach Festival Art Shows are Ineligible.  WAA reserves the right to refuse any work deemed unsuitable.  There will be a 20% commission to WAA on all artwork sold during the show. All works MUST remain for the duration of the show. Max image size 24”x36” without frame. Max weight 35 pounds. Adult entries must have d-rings and wires.  Student entries must have a rigid backing for hanging.

The Fine Print:  Weatherford Art Association, the Doss Heritage and Cultural Center, nor its members shall not be held liable for loss or damage to any work of art exhibited.  Entrant is responsible for insurance.  In addition to entry fees, if a work sells during the show, WAA will receive a 20% commission of the selling price.  WAA reserves the right of approval for all entries in the show.  WAA reserves the right to photograph artwork and use artist or entry information for publicity purposes.  In addition, the entrant understands that all artwork left over 30 days following the end of the show becomes the property of WAA and will be sold to assist funding projects.
