THIS YEAR’S JURORS: Terri Provencal & Chris Stewart

Terri Provencal is the founder, publisher, and editor-in-chief of Patron Magazine dedicated to the arts in North Texas. She also serves as the publisher and editor-in-chief of the official Dallas Arts District Guide. Having been exposed to art at an early age, her passion for art continues to this day. She collects contemporary art from emerging to mid-career artists, including many from the region, ranging from narrative to abstract.

Chris Stewart is the founder of Black Eye, a Dallas branding and design agency, and started collecting art over 20 years ago. He received a merit-based scholarship for painting at SMU and graduated with a BFA in Studio Art. He later earned an MBA and MA in Arts Administration and has worked at San Francisco’s de Young Museum and Legion of Honor. He has cultivated relationships with artists and gallerists internationally and has an open dialogue with many art professionals and curators. His collecting focus is on emerging and mid-career contemporary art.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

A state-wide juried exhibition conceived to introduce & promote emerging artists. 2022 Exhibition Presented by Craighead Green Gallery. New Texas Talent is designed to introduce and promote emerging visual artists in the commercial market.  Each year hundreds of images are submitted for review.  The juror then selects artists to participate in the New Texas Talent exhibition.  Through their participation in the show, some artists have been offered representation by galleries and/or have been extended invitations for inclusion in future exhibitions.  The exhibition and its participants have also received media exposure in such publications as Patron Magazine, The Dallas Morning News, D Magazine, The Observer and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Arts+Culture Magazine and many others.

ELIGIBILITY

All artists residing in Texas over the age of 18, WITH NO FOR-PROFIT OR NON-PROFIT GALLERY REPRESENTATION.
