2022 Plano Art Association Global Reflections Show

Exhibit at Gallery@Courtyard through October 19
Reception Tuesday, September 27, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Thirty-nine PAA artists’ works are now on display in the Global Reflections Show for 2022. Juror, Jennifer Siebert, will award cash prizes to award-winning entries at the reception. Jennifer is Professor of Art at Collin College and a very insightful observer of fine art. (See bio below)
Awards will include: 1st Place, $300; 2nd Place, $150; 3rd Place $100 and three Merit Awards for $50 each.
The annual exhibit is featured in conjunction with the Plano International Festival. This year the festival will be held on October 15 in Haggard Park and the Courtyard Theater. In the past up to 20,000 people have attended the day-long event.
The Plano International Festival is the largest, longest running multicultural festival in North Texas and has been bringing the sights, sounds and tastes of the world to Plano for 18 years.
There’s something for everyone at this family-friendly event. Admission is always FREE, the event takes place at Haggard Park in downtown Plano, 11 am – 5 pm on October 15. Global Reflections JurorJennifer Seibert’s work has been featured in exhibitions by the curator of Exhibitions from the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, the curator of Modern and Contemporary Fine Art with the Heritage Auction House, PostContemporary Residency in Troy, New York, ICA Residency in Monto Castello de Vivio, Italy, and many other thoughtful curators both nationally and abroad. She has won awards from nationally recognized jurors, from the producers of PBS, the 48-hour film festival critics, and has been awarded competitive grants and sabbaticals to attend residencies home and abroad, all while showing nationally and internationally with her paintings, drawings, videos, and installations. She is the owner and lead creator for her small business, Seibert Studios, creating commission works to help others remember their ephemeral moments. She is currently a Full-Time Professor of Art at Collin College teaching Painting, Drawing, and 2-Dimensional Design.
