CADD BUS TOUR
SATURDAY, MARCH 25TH, 20234:00 – 8:00 PM
Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD) is excited to announce our next CADD Bus Tour, hosted by Conduit Gallery and Galleri Urbane, on Saturday, March 25th. Initiated in 2010, the CADD bus tours offer participants unique access to Dallas’ most esteemed sites for contemporary art. Guests are provided refreshments along the way on a private, luxury bus.The tour will commence at Galleri Urbane, located at 2277 Monitor Street in the Design District at 4:00 p.m. and continue to Conduit Gallery, the art studio of Jeff Gibbons, and a private residence and art collection in Dallas with sips and bites provided from Tamale & Co.
Galleri Urbane, “Stack and Smoosh”

At Galleri Urbane, participants will view ‘My Letters Bloom in Your Mouth’ by Sara HaBa an exhibition of gestural floral paintings paired with text works, screen printed on paper The text works, by comparison, are crisp statements applied to pristine paper. Also on view is a group show ‘Stack and Smoosh,’ curated by artist Benjamin Terry. Each artist has a rather fluid relationship with painting and sculpture. As such, even when they make objects with traditional painting materials, they are constructing and deconstructing their surfaces, poking at the boundaries between categorization. The group show features works by Dallas-based artist Claire Kennedy, Austin-based Niva Parjuli, and Los Angeles-based Megan Reed.
Conduit Gallery installation

Conduit Gallery has three solo exhibitions on view for the CADD Bus Tour: Johnny Floyd, Stephen Lapthisophon, and Leonor Ali. Johnny Floyd is an artist from Detroit, currently living in Decatur, GA. His work reflects his identity and experiences as an African American artist growing up in America. Stephen Lapthisophon’s work is process-driven, and the physicality of the work is derived from improvisation and performance. Leonor Ali creates a surreal narrative in her work. The paintings and sculptures feature curious characters and unusual stories.
Art Studio of Jeff Gibbons – The intermedia artist creates low-fi engineered sculptures and poetically humorous paintings that translate his lived experience with fragility and tenderness. Gibbons’ work has been shown internationally in México, Japan, and across Europe. Gibbons has exhibited at venues such as the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Power Station, and The Goss-Michael Foundation and has been an artist in residence at Cerámica Suro in Guadalajara, México, Achterhaus in Hamburg, Germany, and The Goss-Michael Foundation, Dallas.
Private Residence and Art Collection

The tour concludes with an exclusive visit to a Private Residence and Art Collection in Dallas. The collection includes work from Gabriel Rico, Kirk Hayes, Hadi Fallahpisheh, Jason Matthew Lee, Maximillian Schubert, Ragna Bley, Julia Rommel, Trenton Doyle Hancock, and Robert Janitz.
