LAID BARE
A solo exhibition by Wes Coke
This intimate body of work invites viewers into moments of stillness, vulnerability, and quiet strength. Wes Coke, a Fort Worth-based figurative oil painter, brings his deep reverence for the human form and its unspoken stories to canvas in this powerful debut with Daisha Board Gallery.
All acquired works will be available to take home the same evening.
About the Artist
Wes Coke (b. 1978) lives and works in Fort Worth, Texas. A former sculptor turned painter, Coke began painting in 2020 as a way to deepen his exploration of the figure and emotion. His work moves between realism and expressive abstraction, always grounded in capturing something deeply human and honest.
“I’m drawn to the quiet, in-between moments of being: a body leaning, waiting, resting, shifting… I want the viewer to feel like they’ve walked in on a private moment and decided to stay.” — Wes Coke
We look forward to welcoming you to Laid Bare, and to our new space at The Oak Cliff Assembly—a fresh chapter in our ongoing mission to elevate bold, resonant voices in contemporary art.
